Clarkson's new motor show to have £4.5million budget PER EPISODE!
Jeremy Clarkson's new motor show has been handed a massive £4.5million budget per episode by Amazon.
The as yet untitled series will see Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond test the latest cars in a format similar to Top Gear. The threesome have been contracted to make 36 episodes across three seasons with a total budget of £160million.
According to Broadcast it was the budget and freedom promised by Amazon Prime Video which attracted the team to sign up with them, rather than rivals Netflix and itv.
Each episode will be approximately one hour long and will be studio based with on-location segments and test-track action, which fans will be used to. The new series will launch in Autumn 2016, which is after Chris Evans's new look Top Gear debuts on BBC Two.
