BBC unveils new BBC Three logo - and online switchover date.
The BBC have unveiled another new logo for BBC Three, this time ahead of its move online. It consists of two vertical lines and an exclamation mark on a pink background which matches the iPlayer branding.
BBC Three's head of marketing, Nikki Carr, acknowledged the critics but added she was "not worried" about criticism for the logo saying "Some people are resistant to change and we wanted to be bold and create something that looks forward and will be around for years to come".
She added the logo needed to work both on TV and as an app icon, saying: "Look at Snapchat. They're doing okay without having Snapchat in their logo."
On 16 February BBC Three will cease to broadcast via tv platforms and will only be available online as an on demand channel via the BBC iPlayer.
