The Version Interview... Davood Ghadami on Strictly Come Dancing.
EastEnders actor Davood Ghadami says he can't wait for this year's Strictly and hopes to still be in the competition come the Halloween special.
Why are you taking part in Strictly this year?
I am looking forward to the challenge of doing Strictly. I want to learn to dance and I want to learn a new skill and I want to challenge myself because obviously it’s going to be very difficult for me having no experience. I am at the bottom rung of a very tall ladder but that’s how it feels right now. I have no real experience so I can only get better.
What are you most looking forward to on Strictly?
I’m really looking forward to Halloween for some reason, it’s an excuse to get really dressed up and have a lot of fun with that. That’s the one I have always enjoyed watching the most, if I can get that far. That could be my aim; if I can get that done I would be very happy.
Have you been given any advice from previous contestants?
Yes luckily enough I know quite a lot of people from EastEnders who have done Strictly before. Tameka Empson said: "Once you go out, you own that, that’s yours, that’s your moment so just go for it don’t hold back." And that’s really good advice because it is easy to hold back I think.
