Celebrity Escape to the Country is returning to BBC One
H from Steps is among the celebs taking part.
BBC One and Naked West, a Fremantle label, have confirmed the return of the hit series Celebrity Escape to the Country, a star-studded spin-off of the beloved Escape to the Country. The show, set to air this December, builds on the enduring success of its original format.
Following an impressive debut last year, which drew nearly 3 million viewers, the upcoming season promises even more excitement with fresh celebrity faces and new scenic locations.
This year’s line-up includes Olympic champion Linford Christie OBE, musical icon Alfie Boe OBE, broadcaster and author Anita Rani, pop sensation H from Steps, esteemed journalist Kaye Adams, and The Apprentice winner and entrepreneur Tim Campbell MBE.
In a series of special hour-long episodes, the celebrities will venture beyond their urban comfort zones in search of their dream countryside homes. Along the way, they’ll navigate the challenges and rewards of rural living, while celebrating the stunning landscapes and unique charm of the British countryside. Each episode not only explores the idyllic property market but also reveals the personal stories and motivations driving these celebrities to embrace a quieter, pastoral lifestyle.
Julie Shaw, BBC Daytime Commissioner, shares:
“Our homes are integral to our sense of belonging, and choosing a new one is one of life’s biggest decisions. Rob Unsworth, Head of BBC Daytime and Early Peak commissioning, adds:
“Last year’s Celebrity Escape to the Country was a real festive delight, so we’re thrilled to bring it back for another season. With a fantastic line-up of familiar faces, viewers can expect a unique peek into their personalities as they search for a potential new home.
