Charlie Hedges kicks off 24 hour show on Radio 1 Dance
Charlie Hedges has kicked off her 24 Hour Dance Marathon on the Radio 1 Dance channel.
Charlie has kicked off a Mega Massive Monday in which she will be on air until 9am this Tuesday morning with the finest classic dance anthems and support from the Radio 1 Dance family. With music from Eric Prydz, Chase & Status, Becky Hill, Nia Archives and more.
Launched last October Radio 1 Dance brings together Radio 1’s rich slate of existing dance programmes into a dedicated stream on BBC Sounds, making it even easier for current and new listeners to find them. The stream provides a second chance to hear the station’s world-famous DJs and mixes from all corners of the globe, offering something distinctly different for music fans to get stuck into.
The BBC’s first new 24-hour stream on BBC Sounds, Radio 1 Dance is designed to give young audiences even more flexibility to listen to their favourite BBC content outside of the more traditional linear schedules.
Upon its launch, Pete Tong “This is a huge moment for the dance scene and I’m really excited that my Radio 1 show will be providing the soundtrack to Drivetime on Radio 1 Dance. I look forward to even more people getting to join us to hear the very best in dance and electronica every Monday to Thursday on the new stream.”
Charlie Hedges presents Radio 1's Dance Athems show each Saturday and can also be heard weekday mornings alongside her co-hosts Rickie and Melvin.
She recently took part in The Celebrity Apprentice Christmas Specials.
Listen to Charlie's massive 24 hour broadcast via BBC Sounds or ask your smart speaker to play Radio 1 Dance.
