Ken Bruce to host new Channel 4 music show
Greatest Hits Radio DJ lands another show on Channel 4
Beloved broadcaster Ken Bruce is set to bring holiday cheer to Channel 4 in a brand-new festive special, curating the ultimate Christmas playlist. In this one-off program, produced by Gold Wala, Bruce takes viewers on a nostalgic journey through decades of iconic Yuletide music, sharing the stories behind the season’s most cherished hits.
The special will feature appearances from legendary artists recounting their Christmas classics. Jona Lewie reveals the inspiration behind Stop the Cavalry, Boney M’s Liz Mitchell reminisces about Mary’s Boy Child, Roy Wood reflects on I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day, and Tony Mortimer shares the poignant tale behind East 17’s chart-topping Stay Another Day.
Joining the celebration are The Darkness’ Justin Hawkins, ska icon Pauline Black, pop producer Pete Waterman, radio personality Lauren Layfield, and Walking in the Air star Aled Jones. Paul Young also revisits one of pop music’s most unforgettable festive moments.
