Coronation Street drops new Murder Week trailer
Coronation Street has released a striking new promotional trailer as the build-up begins toward the death of one of Weatherfield’s most notorious troublemakers.
Ever since the potential victims were revealed back in February, each character has taken a darker turn, giving plenty of motive for someone to want them gone.
The big question now is who will die on the day of Carla Connor and Lisa Swain’s wedding—and who will ultimately be responsible.
The cinematic promo, directed by Suri Krishnamma, shows Theo Silverton, Carl Webster, Jodie Ramsey, Megan Walsh, and Maggie Driscoll dressed in black funeral clothing as they walk together across the iconic cobbles.
As they reach Rosamund Street, they are confronted by funeral director George Shuttleworth (Tony Mawdsley), standing beside a hearse. He turns toward them and raises a wreath shaped like a question mark, adding to the mystery.
Over five consecutive nights later this month, viewers will see the same day unfold from the viewpoint of each of the possible victims. By the end of the week, Betsy Swain discovers that one of them has been killed, sparking a whodunit investigation.
The special “Murder Week” episodes begin on Monday, April 27 on ITV and ITVX.
