Disney Plus is now included in your Sky TV subscription at no extra cost!
Disney Plus is now included in your Sky TV subscription at no extra cost - and NOW customers can also enjoy some of the biggest Disney Plus shows and movies too.
From today, millions of Sky customers can access Disney+ as part of their Sky TV subscription. Worth £5.99 per month, eligible new and existing customers can enjoy Disney+ Standard with Ads at no extra cost, or use the same saving towards a Standard or Premium plan, opening up a huge catalogue of entertainment.
This follows Sky’s February announcement of its new all-in-one TV and streaming package, which combines Sky TV with Disney+, HBO Max, Hayu and Netflix in a single subscription and integrated viewing experience. Altogether, that represents more than £20 of streaming services each month, alongside Sky Originals and exclusive titles such as Under Salt Marsh, Heated Rivalry and the upcoming Saturday Night Live UK.
New customers can sign up to Sky Ultimate TV from £24 a month, which includes Sky, Disney+, Netflix, and, when available, HBO Max and Hayu, offering exceptional value.
Disney+ entertainment now available through Sky
Customers can now access a wide selection of Disney+ content, including popular series such as Rivals, Paradise and FX’s The Bear, as well as major film releases including Zootropolis 2 and Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Subscribers can also enjoy family favourites like Moana 2 and classics such as Frozen. The Disney+ catalogue spans brands including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, Hulu, FX and 20th Century Studios.
Sky Stream and Sky Glass customers with Ultimate TV, Sky Q customers, and Sky Essential TV customers with Sky Cinema can activate Disney+ in just a few minutes by saying “Get Disney+” into their voice remote and following the prompts, or by visiting Sky.com.
Customers who already subscribe to Disney+ directly can transfer their existing Standard with Ads, Standard or Premium plan to Sky, saving £5.99 per month, or more than £70 a year, while keeping their profile and viewing history. Those on Standard with Ads also have the option to upgrade to Standard or Premium by paying the difference.
New Disney+ Cinema channel for Sky Cinema customers
Sky Cinema customers will also benefit from a new Disney+ Cinema channel, launching on EPG channel 305. This channel will showcase a curated selection of films from Disney+, giving subscribers even more movie content alongside titles from Sky, Paramount+ and NBCUniversal.
Launching with around 50 films, the channel will feature a mix of favourites from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars, with new titles added every week. Upcoming films include Iron Man, Deadpool and Wolverine, Death on the Nile, Alien: Romulus, Finding Nemo and Up.
Disney+ favourites added to Sky channels
A handpicked selection of Disney+ content will also appear across Sky’s linear channels, bringing major titles directly into the TV guide. These will include shows such as Andor, FX’s The Bear and Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story, airing on Sky Atlantic, Sky One and Sky Witness for eligible Sky and NOW Entertainment customers.
Easier discovery through Sky OS
On Sky Stream and Sky Glass, Disney+ is fully integrated into Sky OS alongside Sky TV, Sky Originals and content from apps including Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV. This makes it easier for customers to discover programmes, search across platforms and save titles to their Playlist.
For the first time, Disney+ shows and films will also appear in Sky’s Continue Watching feature, allowing viewers to jump straight back into whatever they were watching, whether that is the next episode of Bluey or a drama series they started the night before. Everything also works with Sky voice control, making it simple to search and play content just by speaking.
Disney+ content is also built into the Sky Q homepage, including the Today’s Top Picks rail and Continue Watching section, creating a more joined-up experience for those customers too.
Looking ahead, Sky TV customers will also receive HBO Max Basic with Ads as part of their subscription from 26 March, with Hayu arriving in July. A preview selection of reality programming will also be available later this month.
