How and when to watch Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl in the UK and US
Brand new animated movie is coming.
The BBC has unveiled the first trailer for Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, the long-awaited return of the beloved claymation duo. The feature-length adventure will premiere on Christmas Day on BBC iPlayer and BBC One, marking the pair’s first appearance in 16 years. Accompanying the trailer is new artwork showcasing Wallace, Gromit, and their infamous arch-nemesis, Feathers McGraw. In the US, fans can stream the film via Netflix from 3rd January 2025.
In a thrilling turn of events, the mischievous Feathers McGraw, last seen in 1993's Academy Award-winning The Wrong Trousers, is back and stirring up trouble. This time, Wallace’s penchant for over-reliance on his inventions creates chaos when his latest creation, a “smart gnome,” takes a sinister turn. With events spiraling out of control, Gromit must rise to the occasion, facing off against the malevolent forces threatening to derail Wallace's inventive streak forever.
Adding to the festive cheer, the BBC will celebrate the film's premiere with three exclusive Wallace & Gromit-themed idents created by Aardman. The idents, featuring Wallace, Gromit, and new character Norbot in various holiday settings, will air throughout December on BBC One.
Vengeance Most Fowl features Ben Whitehead as the voice of Wallace, with Peter Kay reprising his role as Chief Inspector Macintosh. Joining the cast are Lauren Patel as PC Mukherjee, Diane Morgan as a local TV reporter, Adjoa Andoh as a judge, Muzz Khan as a news host, and Lenny Henry as the owner of a local convenience store.
The film is directed by Nick Park, Wallace & Gromit’s creator, alongside Merlin Crossingham, with a story co-written by Park and Mark Burton. The music score has been composed by Julian Nott and Lorne Balfe, capturing the whimsy and excitement fans have come to expect.
In the meantime, audiences can relive Wallace and Gromit’s previous escapades on BBC iPlayer. Mark your calendars for a holiday season filled with laughs, suspense, and, of course, cheese!
