With an impressive career spanning over two decades, James has cemented his place as one of the UK’s most cherished artists. He’s the proud recipient of two Ivor Novello Awards and has been nominated for five Grammys. His musical journey began during his university days in Bristol, where he penned songs and learned guitar, eventually leading to his debut album, Back to Bedlam. This record became a defining album of the 2000s, selling millions of copies worldwide.
James has sold over 20 million records globally, with his iconic hit “You’re Beautiful” making history as the first British single in nine years to top the US charts. Beyond his music, James has earned a reputation for his sharp and self-deprecating humor, even jokingly pledging to rename himself “Blunty McBluntface” if Back to Bedlam reclaimed the number-one spot.
To mark the album’s 20th anniversary, Back to Bedlam was recently remastered and re-released, offering fans a fresh take on his timeless debut. James will also embark on the Back to Bedlam 20th Anniversary Tour, set to kick off in February 2024.
