Netflix plans another Celebrity Bear Hunt

Holly Willoughby and Bear Grylls set to return with a second season

Celebrity Bear Hunt is set to return to Netflix for a second season after proving a hit with viewers.

The big budget challenge series has remained in the Top 5 since launching earlier this month and now the streaming giant is planning to film another season later this year.

A source told theversion.co.uk “Netflix threw everything at Celebrity Bear Hunt, spending a fortune to bag big name stars like Mel B, Boris Becker and Danny Cipriani… and it paid off, because people have been watching in their millions”.

Bear Grylls and Holly Willoughby front the show, which also counts Shirley Ballas, Joe Thomas and Lottie Moss amongst the cast.

As well as being streamed by millions, the press love it, with The Guardian calling it “the most fun reality show in years” and The Irish Times wrote “'Celebrity Bear Hunt is the bingewatch Apocalypse Now – with sleep-deprived celebrities instead of terrified Vietnamese villagers”

In the series 12 celebs have to survive the Costa Rican jungle whilst being hunted by Bear Grylls.
