Storm clouds are gathering in Emmerdale this summer as long-buried secrets resurface, loyalties are tested and relationships begin to unravel. Jealousy, revenge and betrayal take centre stage, with Kev, Lewis, Mack, Robert, Ross and Billy all facing life-changing moments.
Mack (Lawrence Robb) is struggling to move past Charity’s (Emma Atkins) deception and the revelation that Ross (Mike Parr) is Leyla’s biological father. Although Mack initially keeps his anger towards Ross in check, tensions inevitably boil over. A furious confrontation ends in a violent struggle beside a barn, leaving one life hanging in the balance.
Elsewhere, with her wedding day fast approaching, Dawn (Olivia Bromley) finds it increasingly difficult to watch her ex-husband Billy (Jay Kontzle) move on with Gabby (Rosie Bentham). Before long, even groom-to-be Joe (Ned Porteous) begins to question whether Gabby is right about Dawn still having feelings for Billy. Will the wedding of the summer go ahead as planned, or will jealousy threaten to tear everything apart?
Lewis (Bradley Riches) finally agrees to give his biological father, Kev (Chris Coghill), a chance, but their reunion is quickly thrown into turmoil. After discovering the café has been ransacked, suspicion soon turns to Kev, with Lewis determined to uncover the truth. Outraged by the accusation, Kev firmly denies any involvement and desperately tries to convince Lewis of his innocence. Has he already lost his chance to build a relationship with his son?
Meanwhile, Robert (Ryan Hawley) is left shaken when Kev suddenly remembers where he knows his long-lost cousin, Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsey), from. After Robert is knocked unconscious by a runaway farm trailer, Aaron (Danny Miller) becomes convinced Serena’s presence at the scene is no coincidence. Sharing his suspicions with Robert, he and Chas (Lucy Pargeter) begin keeping a close eye on Serena. As they dig deeper, a secret hidden on her stolen phone threatens to expose everything. Armed with evidence that Serena has been lying, Robert confronts her. But what is she hiding, and will those closest to her be able to forgive her deception?
Emmerdale Producer, Sophie Roper, says:
“From long-held secrets coming to light to fractured relationships pushed to the limit, expect a summer season of high stakes, revenge, and betrayal that will leave viewers questioning who they can trust. It’s set to be one of our most explosive summers with so much more to come...”
