Season 2 is expanding its core universe with two high-profile casting additions. Justice Smith (I Saw the TV Glow, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t) and Charlie Gillespie (One Night Only, Splitsville, Suze) have officially signed on to play fan-favorite characters Harris Drover and Troy Barrett, respectively. They join returning stars Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie to form the central heart of the upcoming season.
Bringing Harris and Troy to Life
Showrunner Jacob Tierney and executive producer Brendan Brady expressed immense excitement over finding the right duo to bring Reid’s beloved novel characters from the page to the screen.
“Rachel Reid has given us two beautifully layered characters in Harris and Troy who you can’t help but root for,” Tierney and Brady said in a joint statement. “From the start of the casting process, we knew we were looking for actors who could create something truly special together and bring that same depth and heart to the screen. Justice and Charlie do exactly that. They immediately connected with the vulnerability and resilience at the core of these characters.”
The Story So Far
The inaugural season captured global attention by diving into the intense, secret relationship between fresh-faced rookies Shane Hollander (Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Storrie). What began as an irresistible, undercover hookup between fierce rivals quickly transformed into a multi-year emotional journey navigating love, denial, ambition, and self-discovery on and off the ice.
Behind the Scenes
Originally created for Canadian streamer Crave by award-winning writer-director-producer Jacob Tierney (Letterkenny, Shoresy), the series is produced by Accent Aigu Entertainment in association with Bell Media’s Crave. International distribution is handled by Sphere Abacus.
Tierney returns for Season 2 as writer, director, and executive producer, co-writing the new season alongside Mike Goldbach. Brendan Brady and Jayme Alter Wilson serve as executive producers, with Lori Fischburg and Liane Cunje producing, and author Rachel Reid serving as consulting producer.
