Apple TV has officially unveiled the first look and release date for its pulse-pounding original crime drama, 12 12 12, starring Critics’ Choice nominee Jamie Dornan and Emmy Award nominee Anthony Mackie.
The eight-episode limited series—executive produced by both lead actors—is scheduled for a global premiere on Friday, November 13, 2026, launching with a two-episode debut before continuing weekly through Christmas Day.
Created and written by Dudi Appleton and Jim Keeble, 12 12 12 centers on a high-stakes zero-sum game of cat-and-mouse across Europe, focused on a daring raid on a secure bank vault buried deep beneath the streets of Zurich. Dornan stars as a cold, calculating American career criminal, while Mackie portrays the disgraced former FBI agent determined to bring him down.
What sets the thriller apart is its structural format: each episode unfolds simultaneously across three distinct timelines of the heist:
12 Months: The meticulous, year-long planning phase of the crime.
12 Hours: The chaotic, real-time execution of the vault raid.
12 Days: The fallout and international manhunt immediately following the escape.
“Each episode of 12 12 12 unfolds across three separate timelines of a heist: the 12 months of planning, the 12 hours of the heist, and the 12 days following it,” Apple TV stated in an official press release announcing the premiere.
Directed by veteran filmmaker Kari Skogland (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), the international production shot across Budapest and Texas. The supporting ensemble cast features Jack Kesy (12 Strong), Agathe Rousselle (Titane), Sallie Harmsen (Blade Runner 2049), and True Detective star Kali Reis.
12 12 12 marks another major addition to Apple TV’s expanding slate of prestige crime thrillers, joining hit series like Your Friends and Neighbors.
