Major new drama will debut with three episodes.
Prime Video is set to premiere its ambitious biblical drama series, "House of David," on February 27, 2025. The series will debut with three episodes, followed by weekly releases, reaching audiences in over 240 countries and territories.
Developed by visionary filmmakers Jon Erwin ("Jesus Revolution," "American Underdog") and Jon Gunn ("Ordinary Angels"), "House of David" brings to life the ascent of the biblical figure David, who rises from obscurity to become Israel's most celebrated king. The narrative delves into the decline of King Saul, portrayed by Ali Suliman ("Jack Ryan," "Arthur the King"), whose pride leads to his downfall. At God's direction, the prophet Samuel, played by Stephen Lang ("Avatar: The Way of Water," "Don't Breathe"), anoints the young shepherd David as the new king. The series explores David's journey as he navigates love, loss, and political intrigue within Saul's court.
