Tickets for Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Sunderland go on sale today as the Friday dance lineup is revealed.
BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2026 will return to Sunderland this May for three days of live music – and, organisers hope, some sunshine too.
The festival will take place at Herrington Country Park, with tens of thousands of fans expected to attend across the weekend.
While the full lineup has not yet been confirmed, the artists performing on the Friday night dance stage were announced this morning.

Ticket limits
To ensure as many people as possible can attend, fans will be able to buy a maximum of two tickets per person per day. Attendees can choose Friday and one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday), but not both weekend days.
Local residents will receive priority access to tickets, although around 10% of general admission tickets will be available for anyone across the UK.

Accessibility applications will open on 18 March.
Organisers advise applicants to arrange a Nimbus Access Card in advance. Ticket holders must purchase their event ticket first before applying for any on-site accessibility facilities.
