The series begins with Anna and Jake moving from the UK to Melbourne with their children in an attempt to rebuild their marriage. To help settle into their new life, they hire Becky as a live-in nanny. What initially appears to be an ideal arrangement quickly spirals into a dangerous game of manipulation.
Convinced Jake is cheating, Anna turns to Becky for emotional support, completely unaware that she is confiding in the very woman involved in the affair.
