Headlined by high-stakes rivalries, expanded global coverage, and its deepest postseason commitment yet—culminating in the exclusive presentation of the Eastern Conference Finals—the streamer is set to build heavily on its inaugural momentum.
The action officially tips off on Friday, Oct. 23, with a blockbuster opening doubleheader. Coverage begins at 7:00 p.m. ET as the reigning World Champion New York Knicks host the Boston Celtics. The slate continues at 9:30 p.m. ET, featuring Kevin Durant’s return to Austin as the Houston Rockets take on the Western Conference Champion San Antonio Spurs live from the Moody Center at the University of Texas.
Marquee Games & Emotional Return Road Trips
Prime Video’s calendar is packed with headline-grabbing reunions and high-octane matchups throughout the regular season:
International Homecoming: Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs head overseas to Paris on Jan. 14 for the first of two NBA Global Games.
Blockbuster Reunions: Jaylen Brown makes his first return to Boston as a member of the 76ers on Jan. 21, followed closely by Giannis Antetokounmpo’s return to Milwaukee with the Miami Heat on Jan. 28.
Heavyweight Features: The Knicks, 76ers, Spurs, and Los Angeles Lakers will lead the platform with 10 appearances each. Meanwhile, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder appear eight times, including key clashes against San Antonio on Feb. 11 and Philadelphia on Feb. 13.
New Year’s Eve Doubleheadliner: On Dec. 31, basketball meets football. Prime Video will air a 2026 Playoff rematch between the Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves at 4:00 p.m. ET, leading directly into the Thursday Night Football regular-season finale between the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals.
Emirates NBA Cup & Tournament Play
The high-stakes competitive calendar launches early with five straight weeks of Emirates NBA Cup Group Play doubleheaders starting Friday, Oct. 30. Early highlights include the Knicks visiting LeBron James and the 76ers, alongside a West Coast clash between Luka Dončić’s Lakers and Stephen Curry’s Golden State Warriors.

The platform’s popular Black Friday Gameday returns on Nov. 27, pairing an NBA doubleheader with an NFL matchup between the Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Steelers. Group Play wraps up with a Heat vs. Knicks and Lakers vs. Spurs showcase, leading into the NBA Cup Knockout rounds starting Dec. 4, and finishing with the Championship game on Dec. 11 at Butler University’s historic Hinkle Fieldhouse.
Expanding the Global Footprint
Off the back of a 28% year-over-year surge in international viewership during the 2025-26 season, Prime Video is doubling down on European fans.
NBA Global Games: Exclusively streaming the 2027 NBA Paris and Manchester Games on Jan. 14 and Jan. 17, featuring France’s own Wembanyama and the Spurs taking on the New Orleans Pelicans.
European Primetime Showcase: 11 Saturday games scheduled for prime evening viewing in Europe. Highlighted dates include Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Heat on Feb. 6 (vs. Timberwolves) and March 6 (vs. Pacers), Franz Wagner and the Orlando Magic on March 13, and a third European primetime game for San Antonio on March 27.

Deep Postseason Run & Studio Lineup
As spring approaches, Prime Video’s coverage shifts into top gear with exclusive broadcasts of the SoFi NBA Play-in Tournament in April, airing six games across three nights. From there, the streamer will broadcast select early-round Playoff series before taking center stage for its debut exclusive broadcast of the Eastern Conference Finals in May.
