DC fans won’t have to wait much longer to watch Kara Zor-El’s latest cosmic adventure from the comfort of their living rooms. Following its theatrical run earlier this summer, Supergirl is heading straight to Sky Cinema on demand starting Friday, 11 September. Rated Cert 12, the film delivers a grittier, action-packed take on one of DC’s most iconic heroes.
Directed by Craig Gillespie (I, Tonya, Cruella), the sci-fi epic stars Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon) as Kara Zor-El, departing from the classic optimism of her cousin, Superman. Pushed to her limits, Supergirl embarks on a dangerous galactic journey of vengeance and justice. Along the way, she crosses paths with an unlikely ally and mysterious companion played by Jason Momoa, throwing the duo into a high-stakes interstellar mission.
Where to Watch Across the Pond (US Streaming)
For fans based in the United States, streaming and home viewing options look a little different:
Digital Purchase & Rental (PVOD): The film is already available to rent or purchase digitally across major US platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home.
Physical Media: US collectors can pick up the film on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD starting September 8.
Subscription Streaming: Supergirl is expected to make its exclusive streaming debut on Max shortly after its physical release window. While Warner Bros. has not pinned down an exact platform date for US subscribers, a fall debut on Max is virtually guaranteed.
UK viewers with a Sky Cinema or NOW Cinema pass can queue up the movie starting Friday, 11 September.
