Taron Egerton's 'Carry-On' to premiere in LA next week

Red carpet event to take place in Los Angeles on 5 December.

Taron Egerton’s brand new Netflix thriller ‘Carry-On’ will receive a full red carpet premiere in Los Angeles next week. Taron, plus cast members Sofia Carson and Jason Bateman will be present at the lavish event on the evening of Thursday 5 December.

Penned by T.J. Fixman, known for his work on the Ratchet & Clank video games, Carry-On centers on young TSA agent Ethan (played by Taron Egerton).

Ethan faces a high-stakes battle of wits as a mysterious traveler blackmails him into allowing a dangerous package to pass through security and board a Christmas Eve flight.

“When Jaume first approached me about the role, I told him I didn’t want to do something that felt like an archetypal action hero,” Egerton told Netflix.

“Luckily, neither of us thought that’s what was exciting or interesting about Ethan. What we kept our eyes on was making sure that we made him feel as relatable and as normal as possible … whatever normal is in the extraordinary situation he’s in.”
