For the first time in American history, Peacock and NBC are ditching reality TV veterans and star-studded celebrities for an all-civilian edition of the hit Emmy-winning competition series. Titled ‘The Traitors: New Blood’, the upcoming season brings together 22 ordinary Americans chosen from a pool of over 60,000 applicants to face off in a game of deception, murder, and high-stakes strategy at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands.
Hosted as always by Alan Cumming in his iconic tartan fits, the contestants will be divided into “Faithfuls” and secretly assigned “Traitors” competing for a prize pool of up to $250,000.

What Makes ‘New Blood’ Different?
While prior US seasons featured heavy hitters from Survivor, Big Brother, and The Real Housewives, ‘New Blood’ returns the American adaptation closer to the format used in the British and original Dutch versions of De Verraders.
Without pre-existing alliances, reality TV rivalries, or celebrity reputations, every player enters Ardross Castle on equal footing. Will the Faithfuls be able to deduce who among them is stabbing them in the back, or will a civilian Traitor quietly walk away with the entire quarter-million-dollar jackpot?
