This Monday night on Radio 2 or BBC Sounds, Jo Whiley is joined by a very special guest, U2 guitarist the Edge, to co-host the show, reflect on the 20th anniversary of How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, and share his favorite music picks.
U2, one of the most iconic bands in music history, was formed in Dublin in 1976. Over nearly five decades, the band has released 15 albums, won a record-breaking 22 Grammy Awards, and last year made history as the first band to perform at the Las Vegas Sphere.
How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, their 11th studio album released in 2004, includes hit singles like Vertigo and Sometimes You Can’t Make It on Your Own. Bono famously described it as “U2’s first rock album.”
To mark its 20th anniversary, U2 will release How to Re-Assemble an Atomic Bomb, featuring previously unreleased tracks and rarities, alongside a remastered edition of the original album.
