ITV will broadcast live coverage of this year’s Oscars on Sunday, with coverage starting at 10.30pm.
ITV has exclusive UK rights to the 97th Oscars ceremony and red carpet coverage, offering a night of exclusive free-to-air programming across both ITV1 and ITVX, along with a plethora of Oscars-themed content and added behind-the-scenes extras – making ITV the ultimate destination for all things Oscars.
The 96th Oscars ceremony in 2024 proved a hit with UK audiences, with the exclusive free-to-air coverage across ITV1 and ITVX reaching a combined 5.2 million viewers*. Building on this success for 2025, ITV’s programming promises to deliver audiences more of what they love, from the highly coveted awards show, to the star-studded red carpet and everything in between.

Exclusive Coverage on ITV1 and ITVX: For the first time, the Oscars red carpet will be broadcast live across both ITV1 and ITVX, with expert hosts providing seamless access to the arrivals of the 97th Oscars nominees, Hollywood’s biggest stars and VIP guests as they make their entrance to the ceremony.
Free-to-Air Access: The 97th Oscars ceremony and red carpet coverage returns to ITV1 and ITVX and will be available completely free-to-air, giving UK viewers access to the most exciting night in Hollywood.
Jonathan Ross Returns: Renowned film enthusiast and broadcaster Jonathan Ross will return to host ITV’s coverage of the Oscars, bringing UK audiences closer to the action with live commentary, special celebrity guests and film experts, and live chats with all the stars on the red carpet.
On the night itself, Sunday 2nd March, viewers can join Jonathan Ross live on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player as he hosts a special show bringing all of Hollywood’s action to UK viewers, including live coverage of the Oscars red carpet with Ross King broadcasting directly from the event at the Dolby® Theatre in Hollywood, followed by the coveted awards ceremony which begins at midnight. Like last year, he’ll be joined by movie-loving guests to remark on Hollywood’s biggest night of the year.
